The client, a developer, commissioned a new build scheme constructing new high-end residential apartments on a demolished residential site.
The new apartments required sympathetic construction to surrounding properties including a nearby listed premises, complimenting the red brickwork, rendered elevations, leaded windows, slates and stonework to give a traditional appearance.
The constructor required a cost consultant service, to facilitate timely and fair payments to the contractor, ensuring project expenditure was effectively managed and reported in a concise and clear manner.
Weekly site inspections undertaken by HCS ensured that the project progress was recorded and evaluated to produce valuations, monitor the budget, understand the financial impacts and project the final account figures. A supplementary photographic schedule was provided with each report, to demonstrate the weekly progress and valued works for the client to rationalise.
