Howe Chartered Surveyors’ London office has moved!

June 15, 2026

We’re pleased to share that our London office has officially relocated. Previously based at 99 Bishopsgate, we are now situated in Wogan House, 99 Great Portland Street.

The history of Wogan House

Our new London base comes with a fascinating history. Originally known as Western House, the building was renamed Wogan House in 2016 in honour of the late broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan, who presented his iconic breakfast show from the building. The BBC occupied the property for more than 70 years, initially housing their Engineering Designs Department before later becoming home to BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music.

Built in the mid‑1930s, the building has since undergone significant refurbishment, drawing inspiration from the design and character of 1960s recording studios.

We’re excited to have moved!

Christian Howe, Managing Director, shared his thoughts on the move:

“This is an exciting time for HCS following what has been a gratifying year of growth, alongside our acquisition of Mass & Co. Our new base in the West End allows us to continue supporting our central London clients while offering improved access for those to the west, all from within an inspiring and prominent building. The history, architecture and character of Wogan House, much like our Essex and Kent offices, reflect the shared interests of our team. We simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work in such a captivating setting.”

HCS also operates offices in Kent and Essex, providing a full range of surveying, architectural, and structural services.
